35 COLLEGE Buses Using Chesley and Chester Again

Effective at 5pm today the 35 COLLEGE route has been rerouted to once again service Chesley Street and Chester Avenue.

During the summer the route had been put on detour as both Chesley and Chester were undergoing reconstruction. Later in the summer it was announced that the detour would be made permanent. The routing change was approved and became permanent as of December 29, 2013.

Today it was quietly announced that the routing would revert to use these streets once more. 35 COLLEGE has used these streets since at least 1989 when the route did not travel further south than Stone Church Road. The route had its recovery point at Chesley and Stone Church.
