Starting at 6:00am on July 16th, the King Street East bridge located in Stoney Creek, west of the Jones Street interestion, will be closed to traffic for bridge rehabilitation work. As a result of the bridge closure, buses operating on 5 DELAWARE and 58 STONEY CREEK LOCAL will be detoured while the bridge is closed to traffic.

This work is scheduled to be completed in mid-September 2015, at which time the bridge will reopen to traffic. During the closure period, buses operating on the affected routes will be detoured as follows:

EASTBOUND to JONES at KING

From King and Lake

• Right (south) on Lake Avenue South
• Continue (east) on Maple Avenue
• Left (north) on Mountain Avenue South
• Left (west) on King Street East and resume regular westbound routing towards Hamilton.

• AT 63 KING

WESTBOUND to EASTGATE TERMINAL

From King and Jones

• Right (north and west) on Jones Street
• Left (south) on Mountain Avenue North
• Right (west) on King Street East and resume regular routing.

EASTBOUND to KING at HWY 8

From King and Lake

• Left (north) on Lake Avenue Drive
• Right (east) on Collegiate Avenue
• Right (south) on Gray Road
• Left (east) on King Street East and resume regular routing.
