West Hamilton GO Centre With the reconstruction of the MacNab Terminal the western terminus of the route was relocated to the Hamilton GO Centre. There was also other significant changes to the routing of the bus in the downtown core. Where previously the bus would turn left on Wellington and right onto King to enter downtown, this new routing would see the bus remain on Cannon St E and not turn left until reaching James St N. The bus would then turn left onto James St and then turn left into the Hamilton GO Centre using platform 17. Returning east the bus would turn left onto John St S and contiune on John St until reaching Wilson St. The bus would then turn right and return to the previous routing.
East Reid & Dunsmure
2006 – 2009
West MacNab Transit Terminal Due to the construction of a building at the corner of Main St E and Hughson St S it was too difficult for buses to make the left turn onto Hughson. Therefore buses were rerouted to continue along Main St E, turn left onto John St S, left onto King St E and then right onto Hughson St. The remainder of the route remained unchanged. The eastbound portion of the route remained unchanged. Although the construction project has since been completed, the routing has not been changed back.
East Reid & Dunsmure
1994 – 2006
West MacNab Terminal The westbound loop in downtown was extended to MacNab Terminal. Buses travelling west on King St E would continue past Hughson, turn right onto MacNab St S and loop at the terminal. Buses leaving the loop would turn left onto Main St W, right on Hughson St and continue on past the previous loop point at Hughson & King.
East Reid & Dunsmure
1989 – 1994
West Hughson & King Returning to downtown the bus would leave the loop point and turn left onto Roxborough Ave, followed by a right on Strathearne and another left onto Britania Ave. The bus would continue onto Cannon St E and travel west to Wellington St N, where it would turn left. The bus would then turn right on King St E and finally another right onto Hughson where the bus would end it’s westbound journey.
East Reid & Dunsmure The bus would leave the loop stop on Hughson just north of King and travel north, turning right onto Wilson St. The bus would then turn left onto Sherman Ave N followed by a right onto Cannon St E. The bus would then continue onto Britannia Ave and turn right on Strathearne Ave. Next the bus would turn left onto Roxborough Ave followed by a right on Beland Ave N. Finally the bus would turn left on Dunsmure Rd and loop at Reid Ave N.
