New GO Bus between Brantford and Aldershot via McMaster starts September 3rd

GO Transit bus service will expand to Brantford this fall and today the full detailed schedule was released. The new bus service will be an extension of the existing McMaster University to Aldershot GO Station train meet service on route 15.

GO buses will run every hour during weekday peak periods and every two hours during weekday off-peak periods and on weekends. In total, there will be 26 trips every weekday and 18 trips on both Saturday and Sunday.

Starting on Tuesday, September 6th, on weekdays the first bus will depart Brantford Bus Terminal at 5:28 AM with the final Aldershot bound bus leaving Brantford at 9:56 PM. The first bus trip from Aldershot to Brantford departs the GO station at 7:10 AM with the final Brantford bound bus departing Aldershot at 11:59 PM.

Bus service in Brantford will begin with weekend service on Saturday, September 3rd, 2016. The full schedule can be found at GOtransit.com.

The new service will have stops at the downtown Brantford Bus Terminal, select stops in Brantford, Hamilton Innovation Park, McMaster University and Aldershot GO to connect with train service. GO tickets aren’t available at the Brantford Bus Terminal, so GO Transit is encouraging passengers use the PRESTO farecard.

GO Bus service to Brantford is projected to attract 1,000 weekly passenger trips.

The only other existing bus option to Brantford is Greyhound, which has two trips between the Hamilton GO Centre and Brantford daily.
