HSR Fare Increase effective September 1st, 2016

As part of the ten year transit strategy, HSR fares are increasing effective September 1st, 2016.

The increases are a part of phase 1 of the Ten Year (2015-2024) Local Transit Strategy. Phase 1, to be rolled out over three periods (September 2015, March 2016 & September 2016) is comprised of actions designed to address current system deficiencies by applying the limited additional vehicles and operators where we will get the best return on investment.

Detailed transit improvements for the fall are yet to be announced, however the fare increases are listed below.

HSR Day Pass

Unlimited travel on all regularily scheduled routes for a maximum of six people with a maximum of two adults for the day … $13.80.

Old HSR tickets

Currently early series 2016 HSR tickets can be used between September 1st and September 30th, 2016 with an additional $0.15 fare. By adding an additional $0.15 to adult tickets or $0.10 to student tickets, they can be used until September 30th, 2016.

They will not be accepted at the fare box after that date.
