Public Works Recap: Bus Ticket Bylaw and New Buses

The Public Works Committee met on November 16th, 2015 with two transit related items on the agenda.

The first transit item on the agenda was a request from staff for permission to draft a bylaw prohibiting the reselling of HSR bus tickets. The committee approved the staff report and directed staff to report back to committee by February 2016 with a draft of the proposed bylaw. The second items on the agenda was a request for pre-approval for the budget to purchase the replacement and expansion buses. The cost was previously approved with the Ten Year Local Transit Strategy but required the go ahead from council to go forward with the tender.
