2016 Remembrance Day Detours – Stoney Creek

There will be Remembrance Day ceremonies in Hamilton, Dundas, Ancaster and Stoney Creek on Friday, November 11, 2016 affecting transit routes in the City.
The Royal Canadian Legion will be holding the Stoney Creek Remembrance Day parade. The parade will leave the parking lot of Sir Frances Xavier Church at 10:30 A.M. and will continue to the Cenotaph at Highway # 8 and King Street. After a short memorial service, the parade will return to the Church via King Street for approximately 12:00 PM.
As a result of the parade, the following roads will be closed to all traffic from 10:30 AM to 12 noon:
- King Street between Highway #8 and Green Road
- Highway #8 at the intersection of King Street
The route detours are as follows below:
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2015 – 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM
EASTBOUND to HWY 8 and JONES
From Highway # 8 and Green Road
- Left (north) on Green Road
- Right (east) on Barton Street
- Right (south) on Millen Road
- Left (east) on Highway # 8 and resume regular routing.

- HIGHWAY 8 at KING
- HIGHWAY 8 at KILBOURN
- HIGHWAY 8 at MILLEN
WESTBOUND to EASTGATE TRANSIT TERMINAL
From Highway # 8 and Millen Road
- Right (north) on Millen Road
- Left (west) on Barton Street
- Left (south) on Green Road
- Right (west) on Highway # 8 and resume regular routing.

- HIGHWAY 8 at WORSLEY
- HIGHWAY 8 at ELLINGTON
- At 307 HIGHWAY 8

EASTBOUND to KING and HWY 8
From King Street and Green Road
